SONICARE

“The Elite in power toothbrushes”
While brushing and flossing have been and will continue to be the standard of oral home care, the Sonicare electronic toothbrush will soon join them as a basic part of our oral health care. This brush has been proven to significantly reduce bacterial plaque and related stains through sonic-frequency cleansing. Its hundreds of bristles vibrate at 31,000 brush strokes per minute allowing the brush to clean in and around your teeth and gums and into the hard to reach areas. This results in cleaner teeth which translates into healthier gums and less decay. It is also extremely effective in those with receding gums where the Sonicare is much gentler and kinder to the gums and roots surfaces than the manual brush. The results we have seen in our patients has been outstanding and we highly recommend the Sonicare to our patients.

The "Air Flosser"

We have introduced a new addition to our line of home care products, the Air Flosser.  This is from the same makers of the Sonicare, our favorite electric brush detailed above.  The Air Flosser works by generating a small puff of air and water into the area between the teeth to help dislodge debris and remove small amounts of plaque that may be accumulating there.  While not a replacement for flossing, it certainly can help those who may need be 'regular' flossers.  It is extremely effective in areas where there has been some recession and there is a small space where debris can accumulate.   The feeling along the gums from the Air Flosser is comfortable, and we have been encouraged by the response from our patients who are using this device.   It is another tool we can use to help improve your home care and your oral health.
